Crematorium information

Dignity operates Enfield Crematorium in partnership with Haringey Council.

Enfield Crematorium was opened in 1938 and is one of London's largest. The crematorium has two chapels, north and south, which can both hold approximately 150 people. The grounds cover approximately 50 acres, most of which is dedicated to the Gardens of Remembrance.

We are here to help you with whatever you would like for the funeral service. Our dedicated and caring staff treat every family with dignity and respect. At the service we will be there to help you every step of the way.

Our chapel can accommodate larger funerals and is multi-faith. We can help you arrange the service according to your cultural and religious needs. We aim to provide the highest possible standards of care in all aspects of our service.

The crematorium also has access for the disabled, disabled toilets, a hearing loop and has a speaker system throughout the building so no part of a service is missed.

The gardens provide a tranquil and comforting environment for quiet contemplation and there are a number of bench seats to allow visitors a chance to sit in peaceful surroundings and remember their loved ones.

By Rail

British Rail has a train station very close to the Crematorium in Turkey Street. The train runs from Liverpool Street to Cheshunt - twice an hour. The timetable is changing at the beginning of October, please telephone Liverpool Street station to obtain times. Approximately 35 minutes from Liverpool Street to Turkey Street.

When you come out of Turkey Street station you can either;

Turn right, walk up the road to the Great Cambridge Road, turn left and the entrance is approximately 200 yards along.

Or

Either way, it's a slow 5 minute walk.
