What happens after you take out a Plan?
Once you have taken out a Dignity Funeral Plan you can rest assured that your funeral
arrangements will be in good hands.
Your documents
A copy of the Dignity Members Guide will be sent to you within 14 days of Dignity receiving your Personal Arrangements Form. This will contain all the essential Dignity Funeral Plan documents - held in one handy folder - enabling you to place all the relevant information together for when it's needed. This will include:
- Your plan papers and guarantee certificate
- A Members Card, to keep in your wallet or purse, and the telephone number of your Nominated Funeral Director for your family or friend to call in the event of your death
- A full copy of the Plan documents and details for your family or Executor
- The telephone number of the Dignity 24-hour telephone bereavement support service
One phone call is all that's needed
When the time comes, only one phone call needs to be made to the Funeral Director, who will handle all the arrangements professionally on your behalf.
24-hour Bereavement Support
Dignity Funeral Plans also provides 24-hour support for your family before, during and after a funeral - offering on-going help through what is often a difficult time. Our Helpline Counsellors can provide support and guidance on all aspects of the funeral and grieving process, including:
- Estate matters
- Financial issues
- Understanding what happens at the time of death
- Legal issues
It's our way of ensuring that, when you take out a Dignity Funeral Plan, your family and friends are looked after too.
