Reviews of our services
Susan Shepherd, FRCP
Under the circumstances of the pandemic and not being the funeral we would of planned, we could not of been happier of how it all went, and that was due to the care and understanding of the wonderful staff, and I would highly recommend R Davies & sons as your Funeral Directors.
who was with me on the day and to Rachel (sorry, think it was Rachel) who helped my daughter and I when we came in to make all the arrangements. It was explained very clearly without any pressure.
When making the funeral arrangements everything was carefully explained. They arranged the notice in the local press and also the printing of the Order of Service. We were especially pleased with the way in which the photograph of our deceased relative was presented on the cover.
On the day everything went very smoothly and we were grateful not to have to worry about dealing with the collection for the Hospice after the service.
None of the family live within 120 miles of Bristol. This could have proved difficult but the excellent communication we enjoyed ensured this never caused any problems.
We can unreservedly recommend R Davies and Son.
Everything was explained to me clearly and concisely in a time of high emotions from the moment I made the initial call to advise that my brother had passed away.
Nothing was too much trouble, a telephone call, an email all responded too professionally and promptly.
I felt that my brother was safe, after caring for him for the last 18years this was quite a challenge for me but I was reassured with words such as “we will take great care of him”.
I can’t thank the team enough for their support in preparing for his funeral, for my time with him and for being so caring.
I extend my gratitude to Jacuie and Shaun.
The funeral plan was purchased in 2005 and I was not disappointed with the plan and had no extra monies too pay.
If I was worried about something or had a question I would phone or ‘ pop’ in and without exception someone would see me and help in a sympathetic manner. This was so important at such an emotional time .
The privacy of the Chapel of Rest was lovely and peaceful , being able to see mum like this was extremely helpful , the staff being calm and comforting.
I would highly recommend R Davies and Son , on the funeral day they guided myself and the family through the day without any problems , the staff were respectful , reliable and efficient , they made an emotional day stress free and for this we will be forever thankful .
The office is similarly restful, warm and pleasant surroundings.
The conversations were very comfortable and the help in terms of options and choices was understanding and always on hand. Communication was instant by email or telephone. Their presence continued throughout the entire process. Guests were attended to, backup was there should anything unforeseen occur. The collection of the ashes was gently handled. I thank them all. Shaun Hunt was my funeral director, but all the staff I had any dealings with were great.
