Reviews for W Heighton & Son Funeral Directors in Littlethorpe
Nothing was too much trouble. She guided us through the process without putting any pressure on us. Lydia reassured us that our beloved Phill was 'in their care' and being looked after with absolute dignity. The funeral at the crematorium was exactly as we hoped.
The flowers were more beautiful than be could have envisaged, we requested some silk so that we could have a keepsake from the day.
Julie Tyler was a wonderful choice of celebrant, she spent a lot of time getting Phill's eulogy 'just right' for us and delivered it so sincerely.
Maggie(funeral director)showed great kindness and supported us wonderfully on the day.
This was my first experience of arranging a funeral.
Not knowing what to expect or what to do.
Bev took us through the procedure
Helping us to make our own decisions
Of the ceremony we wanted.
Have to say my hubby had a lovely
Warm send off.
Many thanks Carol
The service provided by Lydia was professional, friendly- helpful and demonstrated empathy and compassion. I was guided through all the practical elements involved in arranging a funeral that ensured everything ran smoothly and happened when it was supposed to.
I was very grateful and relieved to have received such a high quality service.
However I felt that the business represented and came across as a very corporate organisation. My expectations of a funeral service Is probably somewhat old fashioned but I expected a local service that actually felt local.
Whilst I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I wouldn’t recommend this provider I would probably say to anyone planning a funeral try and seek an independent operator
It would appear that most independent looking operators are in fact part of a larger corporate body so check before you part with your cash.
Absolutely no reflection on the individuals that dealt with me but the overall feeling was that of a cold profit making organisation.
Indeed prior to being sent this review request I was contacted by someone that had clearly been reading from a script to pre-empt a good review, a fairly transparent tactic and one which I did not appreciate.
I will be utterly amazed if this makes its way onto any platform.
Couldn't have asked for better in such sad circumstances
Everything was explained and nothing was a problem, no rushing to make decisions and no pressure.
I would highly recommend W Heighton & son funeral directors.
