A Spicer & Son Funeral Directors, Southall
About our Southall funeral home
At A Spicer & Son Funeral Directors, we feel privileged to have families travel to us from all over London and beyond. We are trusted by our community because we help people with uncompromising care and compassion; a reputation which we are very proud of.
Religions we serve
We love being part of our vibrant and diverse community, with families from many faiths and cultures living in the capital city. We provide funerals for every religion and belief, with a wealth of experience in arranging Sikh, Hindu, Parsi, Jain, Buddhist, Muslim and many more kinds of religious services. Our funeral director is also a well-known and loved Hindu priest in Southall.
Our funeral home
Our funeral home can accommodate large family visits, with a generous car parking area you can use for free. Our funeral home was refurbished in 2017, with our resting room being a particularly eye-catching feature. It has an alluring stained glass window that tints the room different colours as the sun shines through, something that is admired by many of our visitors. This tranquil and picturesque room can also accommodate large families, with several chairs and sofas for your comfort.
Funeral flowers and other features
We will make sure that your loved one’s funeral has every detail tailored around your cultural needs and wishes. We have hundreds of beautiful and colourful floral tributes, wreaths and sprays, with religious colours and symbols, for you to choose from. These come from a local florist, one of many local businesses we are partnered with in the community.
We can create a completely bespoke funeral, or you can select a package that includes features important to South Asian cultures, such as flowers, hearses and limousines, where the family can act as pallbearers. Other options include a horse-drawn carriage and biodegradable water urns.
Sikh funeral services
We have a very close relationship with the President of our local Gurdwara and are only a five-minute drive from Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Europe's biggest Sikh temple. Beautifully finished in marble and granite, with a gilded dome and intricate stained glass windows, this is one of Southall's most famous and magnificent buildings. It is a peaceful and fitting place that is used by our Sikh families for services.
Repatriations to Asia
We can also arrange for repatriations to locations all over the world, if you want to take your loved one to their country of birth to be laid to rest. If they are from India or Sri Lanka, we can arrange for a safe and respectful journey home, if this is what they would have wanted.
Call us at any hour on 020 8574 3186 if you would like to find out more, or if you need advice or assistance.
