Alan Leslie Black was born in Ilford. He always said he was a East London boy and spent a lot of his childhood there. He then went on to Newcastle University where he met his life partner Carol Black. They got married in 1968 and a few years later they were blessed with two children Adam and Sarah.
Alan spent his working life being a Chemical Engineer. He loved travelling, playing the ukelele/guitar and playing with his grandchildren.
He was a loving husband to Carol Black,
Beloved father to Adam and Sarah, father in law to Avni and Joe.
Cheeky grandad to Alisha, Alina, Leo, Karley and Thomas.
We would like to thank Truscott Manor who looked after Alan in his final days and where he passed away peacefully on 1st March 2025 aged 81 years.
