We are heartbroken as a family to announce that our wonderful Dad and Husband, Francis Harry Browne, slipped away peacefully on 1st March 2026 at his home in Whitwell. 
 
Francis was surrounded by his devoted wife Joan and children Julian, Damian, Nadine and Fabian.
 
Born on 21st September 1943 in Bristol, Francis was the son of Martin and Anne Browne.
 
Francis began an apprenticeship aged 15 at Kilgour French and Stanbury in Savile Row, Mayfair, graduating as a Bespoke Tailor aged 21. He progressed to starting his own business called Browne's Bespoke Tailoring and continued with this until he retired.
 
Francis lived a life of simplicity, finding joy in the little things and cherishing the moments he spent with his loved ones. Whether he was telling captivating stories, being his jovial, playful self or offering a simple smile and joke, his laughter was contagious.
 
Francis leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and treasured memories that will be carried forever in our hearts.
