Born in 1930 in West London, Michael lived through the Second World War, served his National Service in the Far East, before becoming a self-employed Ophthalmic Optician serving the local community in Heston and the surrounding area for nearly forty years. Following his retirement, Michael and Valerie, to whom he was happily married to Valerie for fifty-eight years, moved to Suffolk, where Valerie passing in 2022. Michael spent his final few months happily in Hadleigh Nursing Home, before passing away peacefully on the 1st March 2026, at the magnificent age of ninety-five.
He will be missed by his sons, daughter's in law and three grandsons, of whom he was so very proud.
