Pamela June Jones

23rd June 1944 - 1st April 2026 (81 years)

Place of birth - Cheam

Pam passed away peacefully, with close family by her side on 1st April 2026 at East Surrey Hospital, after a short illness which she battled with her customary strength and determination . She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, endless love and quiet strength that touched all who knew her.

Pam was a devoted daughter, wife, mum, nanny, great nan and a loyal friend, someone who brought warmth and sincerity into every room she entered. She had a remarkable ability to listen without judgment and to offer comfort in times of need, a quality that she used to great effect in her many years volunteering as a Samaritan. Her generosity of spirit and gentle humour made her a steady presence in the lives of those around her.

Pam was married to Derek for over 60 years, whom she loved dearly and she was immensely proud of their 4 children, Christopher, Barry, Leighton and Suzie. She was also delighted to welcome a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren into the world and never forgot a birthday or important event, always taking an interest in what they were doing. It was also wonderful that Pam got to meet her newest great grandson, Joel, in her final days.

Throughout her life, Pam found joy in the simple things—time spent with loved ones, shared laughter, and moments of reflection. She approached life with grace and determination, facing challenges with courage and dignity. She had a love of music, being a lifelong fan of Elvis, loved dancing and really enjoyed her weekend breaks away when she looked forward to meeting up with friends, both on and off the stage!

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Although she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts she touched and the love she gave so freely.

Her family asks that we celebrate her full and loving life and she not be remembered with sorrow alone, but with gratitude for the time shared and the memories created.

For all those joining us to celebrate Pam's life, comfortable, colourful attire is welcomed.

Car parking is limited at St Christophers so please park in Greenlawns and walk back to the Church.
