John Fair, retired Unison Trade Union Official, and lifelong St. Johnstone fan, passed on the 1st of August 2024 at home in Perth.
John was husband of Shona, Dad of Ewan, Eilidh and Alanna and Grandad to Roman, his own mini-lookalike. Roman is very lively and entertaining, always keeeping John laughing and smiling. John was son to Margaret (nee Drummond) and is survived by his namesake father, John (Ian) and his brother David.
John grew to be a great dog lover, first through spaniels Ben and then Pepe. He found Harry through PADS who became his own little shadow, both selectively deaf and ALWAYS grumpy! Finally came Diesel, also from PADS, who was his own wee protection dog. He was also doggy grandad to Dave and Murphy the maddest spaniels around.
A service to celebrate John's life will take place on Tuesday 13th August 2024 at 11:30am, Perth Crematorium, Creiff Road, Perth. Refreshment thereafter will be at the Mercure Hotel, West Mill Street, Perth. All family and friend’s are invited to attend.
The family have requested immediate family flowers only however there will be a collection on the day for PADS (Perthshire Abandoned Dog Society) should you wish to donate in John's memory.
