It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Claude on the evening of Tuesday 2nd April. Husband to his darling wife the late Olga Fielding, much loved father of Rachel and Jenny, father-in-law to Sid and Martin, and wonderful grandpa to Alexander, Tristram, Adam and Tania, he died in the comfort of his own home with close family there, as he would have wished.

Claude approached all aspects of his rather amazing life with the same positive enthusiasm and gusto, whether you knew him as the master yachtsman, the young thespian, the film lawyer of repute, the prolific artist, the lover of mountains, parties and food and of what he treasured most: Olga and his family. He was the most steadfast and loyal friend, mentor and colleague who dedicated so much of his time to helping others. Claude had a huge intellect and a way with words that we cannot replicate here!

He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
