It is with deep love and heartfelt sorrow that we celebrate the life of Edward Carlos Davy, who passed away peacefully on 2nd July 2025 in Brighton, at the age of 88.
Born in Kingstown, St Vincent, Edward carried with him the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean throughout his life. He was a man of intellect, integrity, and immense compassion.
Edward dedicated his professional life to shaping minds and uplifting others through education. As a respected law lecturer and educator, he influenced generations of students with not only his deep knowledge of the law, but also his passion for teaching, fairness, and justice. His legacy endures in the many lives he helped guide, in particular those of his children.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished grandfather, a caring brother, and a true friend. His warmth, his wisdom, and his quiet humour were a source of strength and comfort to those around him.
Outside the classroom, Edward found joy in sport, especially football. A proud and loyal Arsenal supporter, he loved discussing the highs and lows of the beautiful game.
Edward’s life was marked by purpose, compassion, and love. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit continues to live on in every life he touched and every heart that loved him.
