It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Joseph Dodd on Sunday 2nd August 2026, aged 82 years.
A much loved Dad, cherished Granda, treasured Uncle and dear friend to many. Dad was a huge part of our family and lives.
Losing him just twelve weeks after Mum is incredibly difficult to comprehend, but there is some comfort in knowing that, after a lifetime together, they were not apart for long.
Dad will be deeply missed, but the memories, stories and laughter will stay with us always.
Dad's funeral will take place on Friday 21st August 2026 at 1:30pm at Charnock Richard Crematorium.
Following the service, everyone is warmly invited to join us at The Globe, Standish, where we'll celebrate Dad's life in the way he would have wanted- raise a glass, share some stories, sing a few songs and remember the good times.
Anyone who knew Dad and would like to come and say goodbye is very welcome.
Sleep peacefully, Dad. Back with Mum x
