A cherished veteran and dedicated member of his community, who passed away peacefully at the age of 65 years.
Born on 13th December 1960, Eddie devoted his life to the service of his country and to the wellbeing of them around him. His bravery and commitment lead him to enlist in the military where he served with honor and distinction.
Throughout his military career, Eddie demonstrated unwavering courage and a deep sense of duty. He served in the Royal Engineers "Sappers", where he earned the respect and admiration of his peers and superiors alike. After his honorable discharge, he enjoyed socialising with his many friends on a daily basis and continued his love and passion for Motorbikes having been a Motorbike Instructor for his fellow Military Personnel.
He was a devoted Dad to Sammy-Jo and Michael, a beloved grand-dad to Tristan, Tobias, Felicity, Ralph and Elizabeth
He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of service, love and sacrifice will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A funeral service to celebrate Eddie's life will take place on Tuesday, 1st September 2026, at 12:30pm at Rotherham Crematorium.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eddie's memory can be made to the Royal Engineers Association Charity.
