It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs Margaret Houslip announces her death, on the 3rd April 2025, aged 87 years.
Margaret, or Marnie as she would have been known to many, died peacefully after a short stay in the West Berkshire Community Hospital having been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Ben.
She was born to Hugh and Flora on the 30th October 1937 and, after education, spent time living in Canada, America and Australia. Ultimately returning to England she spent many years working for the Newbury Building Society before retirement. In retirement she dedicated herself to many voluntary roles in and around Newbury as well as being a regular attendee of various groups at the University of the Third Age (U3A).
For those attending the service, black attire is not essential and you should feel free to use colour to enhance your personal celebration of Marnie's life.
