Sylvia June Brown passed away peacefully at home on 3rd November 2024, aged 88 years and after a long illness.
Sylvia was Godalming born and bred having lived variously at Aarons Hill, Long Gore, Brocks Close and Marshall Road.
She was well-known and liked from her work mainly in administration and retail in the Godalming area including the former Victor Value (Guildford), RJ Hewitt (Hurtmore), Harveys (now House of Fraser, Guildford), Berks Pharmaceuticals (Catteshall), Sainsburys and, above all, for many years, the former Southern Electric shop in Godalming High Street.
The funeral service will take place on Friday 6th December at 12:45pm at Guildford Crematorium. Refreshments afterwards will be served at The White Hart in Farncombe where everyone attending is welcome to join us to share more happy memories of Sylvia.
