It is with a broken heart that I must announce the passing of John Lehen.  My amazing Dad, loving husband to Mum, Father-In-Law to Conrad and incredible Grandad to Will.

After being unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal cancer at the start of the summer, we had hoped to have many more months with him in our lives.  Unfortunately this was not to be and he passed away peacefully in his sleep with Mum by his side at the Mountbatten Hospice on the 5th September.

Dad always had time for a chat, loved a cup of coffee and a piece of cake, adored a joke, was never in a hurry and never had a genuine cross word with anyone.  The sheer number of messages and stories we have had about him already are testament to the fact he was one of life's 'good guys' and we are hugely comforted by the fact he left such a positive impression on so many people. 

So sleep tight my Dad, my friend, my taxi driver, my car mechanic, my bike chain repairer, my shelf 'putter-upper', my spider catcher, my Christmas market companion, my film 'star', my superhero.....
