It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Professor James (Jim) Moffat on Monday 5th October, aged 77. He was surrounded by loved ones, wife Jacky and daughters Louise and Katherine, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Jim worked as a mathematician for the civil service throughout his career and furthered his research into quantum theory during his retirement. An avid artist and chess player, he filled the family home with his works.
Please join us to celebrate Jim's life at St. Andrew's Church, Farnham, on Friday 30th of October at 2pm, followed by an afternoon tea reception at the Bush Hotel, Farnham. The family would like mourners to wear whatever they feel most suits the occasion, black attire is optional.
Free parking is available in the Bush Hotel car park (guests must register vehicles at reception on arrival), or paid parking is available in Farnham Central Car Park.
Please make the family aware of any necessary allergies or dietary requirements.
