We remember Stephen Nunes, a devoted husband, father and grandfather, whose kind heart and joyful sense of humour touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Stephen passed away, at home with his family, on Easter Monday, 06 April 2026 at the age of 90. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, his two daughters, Iona and Natasha and his grandchildren, Amy and Bailey.
A funeral Mass will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, New Ollerton, NG22 9PP on Monday 04th May 2026 at 2pm. The Mass will be live-streamed on YouTube for those who are unable to attend in person. His life will be celebrated afterwards at The Lansbury, 8 Church Street, Edwinstowe, NG21 9QA.
Family flowers only, please. In Stephen’s memory, donations in lieu are gratefully received by Bamboozle (www.bamboozletheatre.co.uk). Bamboozle is a children's charity whose work ignited the initial spark which ultimately led to uncovering Amy’s hidden potential.
Please note that the commital at the crematorium is on the day after the funeral Mass due to the Bank Holiday and will be attended only by the family.
