It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shahab Shirazi on Tuesday 7th July.
Shahab was a beloved husband, brother, uncle and great-uncle who was loved and respected by all who knew him. He lived in Harpenden for nearly 40 years and became a valued member of the local community, leaving a lasting impression through both his professional life and his many friendships.
He was an optometrist in Harpenden for over 30 years, trusted and respected by generations of patients. He was a committed and valuable member of Harpenden Round Table and a passionate table tennis player.
As many will know, Shahab suffered from Parkinson’s in his latter years, which curtailed his professional career and his voluntary and community work.
Shahab will be remembered with great affection by his family, friends, former colleagues and the many people whose lives he touched.
There will be a Celebration of Shahab's Life at Rothamsted Manor, West Common, Harpenden, AL5 2BG, at 2.30 pm on Tuesday 4th August, following a private family Committal that morning. All are warmly invited to join us at Rothampsted Manor in remembering and celebrating his life.
No flowers please. Donations, if desired, in memory of Shahab, may be made to Cure Parkinson's, via the donate button.
