It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Brown aged 86 years.
On Monday 7th September 2026, Mrs Irene Brown from Blackburn, wife of the late Ian Brown died peacefully in the Belong care home in Atherton, Manchester. She was the dearly loved mother of Adele Hardman, mother-in-law to Nick, grandmother to Daniel and Kaitlin and great grandmother of Elijah and Amara-Grace. She will be sadly missed by all, but she lived a full life with no regrets.
The funeral service will be at St John’s Church, Mosley Common (M28 1AN) at 12 noon on Friday 25th September 2026. Family flowers only. Donations to go to the Alzheimer’s society.
Tea and coffee will be provided after the service in the church lounge and then refreshments will be provided afterwards at the Tea Rooms in Dam House, Astley (M29 7TX)
