Jo passed away peacefully on 7th December 2024, after suffering with vascular dementia for many years.
She will always be remembered for her sense of humour, her committment to her faith and for being a strong, courageous and loving Mother and Grandmother to 8 grandchildren.
The Charity we have chosen was very close to Mum's heart. Gingerbread is a charity which Mum supported. They are for single parents and their children. They campaign against the injustices that single parents face every single day and challenge the stigmas around being a single parent.
They provide expert advice and information to support all single parents so that they have the tools to support their children and themselves. Providing a support network so that, with Gingerbread, no single parent is ever alone.
Jo will continue to be missed by her family and friends, but we thank you for your support towards something that was indeed very close to her and her life as a single parent.
