It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edna. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Edna lived a life full of kindness, warmth and love. In 1964 she married Ian and together they built a beautiful family raising two cherished daughters, Sue and Janet.
Edna was devoted to her family and a truly dependable friend. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and a great "NanNan" and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is now reunited with her beloved Ian, Janet and Bosun. She leaves behind her loving daughter Sue, son-in-law Damian, four grandsons Adam, Ryan, Sean and Eric and her adored great-granddaughter Polly Louise.
Edna's quiet but fierce strength and resiliance were her defining qualities, and they will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Edna's legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family for ever.
We have chosen both Southport Offshore Rescue Trust along with Queenscourt Hospice for any charitable donations. With the latter providing exceptional support and the best possible care during Edna's final days.
