Professor Nelson Stephens sadly passed away on the 8th of January 2024 aged 82 years. He was an eminent mathematician in the fields of cryptography, algorithms and number theory. Nelson was a keen Bridge player and became an International Master representing Wales but, most of all, he was a much loved father, grandfather, colleague, teacher and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
