Born on the 11th December 1924 in Cape Town, South Africa and he was one of eight children.
During his younger years, Brian volunteered his services and proudly served in the Union Defence Force during the second World War.
After returning home, he married his beloved wife, Arita Ann Danks (nee Jardine), with whom he shared a lifelong partnership.

At the age of 81, he relocated to Redditch, England, where he spent his later years.
