John passed away at home, with his family by his side, on 8 September 2024, aged 87 years old. He had been suffering a long illness.
John was in the armed forces, serving in the far east, for 2 years, a prison officer for 20 years, a psychotherapist and later in his retirement years, providing loving and dedicated care to his wife.
John's interests were reading, drawing, artwork, calligraphy and he loved to study people.
John is greatly missed by his wife Val, who had been together for 72 years. John leaves 2 sons, Chris and his wife Sue and Paul and his partner Helen, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
John will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
