Despite her bravery, positivity and unyielding determination, Karen sadly passed away at her home on Sunday 8th December, at the age of 59, with her devoted husband, Tim, and adoring daughter, Hannah, by her side.

Throughout her life, Karen was renowned for her warmth, care, kindness, creativity, organisational skills, and the undeniably loving spirit that she shared with all those she met. Known for her smile and enthusiasm, Karen derived enjoyment from some of the simplest of life's things, coffee with her friends and parents, National Trust walks with her husband, and quality-time with her daughter. Karen had many hobbies across her life, including ballroom dancing and horse-riding however, her growing talents in crafting, including scrapbooking, card-making, and crochetting, were acknowledged and admired by many.

Moreover, Karen achieved much during her life, attaining her National Nursery Examination Board (NNEB) Qualification and securing her first job as a private Nanny, to working in her "dream role" as a Nursery Nurse, and later as a Supervisor, at the award-winning Oakfield Nursery School. Having left employment, Karen voluntered as 'Snowy Owl' with both 2nd Timperley Brownie Pack and 6th Timperley Brownie Pack for almost 15 years, all whilst maintaining a welcoming and loving home. However, it is recognised by many, that her most special accomplishment was raising her daughter, Hannah, whom she held as her light, pride, and joy; her "ray of sunshine".

Karen had an enormous impact on many, and despite several medical challenges across the last decade of her life, Karen never wavered in her care for others.

Karen will be lovingly and fondly remembered by her husband, Tim, their daughter, Hannah, her parents, Ray and Margaret, her sister, Tina, her brothers-in-law, Mike, Andy, Nick, her sisters-in-law Lisa and Jo, her many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, godchildren, and all her special friends. Whilst the loss of Karen is deeply felt, far and wide, we know the memory of her will continue to live on in all those whose lives she touched.

Please join us for a celebration of Karen's life, on Friday 10th January. It will begin with her funeral at 10am, at her church, Christ Church, in Timperley. Karen asked respectfully, that if you feel able, to wear 'bright colours' or something red, her favourite colour. In lieu of flowers, a giving link has been created (below) in her memory, with all funds raised being donated to the Brain Tumour Charity, to assist further research into brain tumours, with the hope, of one day finding a cure.
Following her funeral, Karen's immediate family will proceed to Altrincham Crematorium, however, all guests are invited to reconvene at 11.30am at Ringway Golf Club, in Hale Barns, for refreshments and to celebrate her life.

With much love,
Karen's family.
