It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Charles Staples on 9 July 2025, following a courageous battle with vascular dementia.
Dad faced his illness with remarkable strength and dignity over the course of many years. His resilience and quiet determination inspired all who knew him.
A funeral service to honour Dad's life will be held on Monday 18 August at 1:00pm, at Enderby Parish Church. Following the Church service, friends and family are warmly invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate his legacy at Enderby Bowls Club.
In lieu of flowers, a donation box will be available, with all proceeds going to Dementia UK—a cause close to Arthur’s heart.
All are welcome to join us in remembering Arthur—whose kindness, character, and quiet strength touched so many lives.
Please note: Enderby Bowls Club is located behind the Enderby Tennis Club on Mill Lane, LE19 4LG. Parking is available before the church service at the Bowls club as there is limited parking at the Church itself.
