Our wonderful, loving and generous Howard 'Howie' Cliffe devastatingly passed away on Saturday 9th December aged 69 years, following a liver cancer diagnosis just 5 weeks before.
Adored husband of Heidi and hugely devoted father to Ella, he will be sorely missed by all his family & friends.
His funeral service will be held at Canford Crematorium on Tuesday 2nd January 2024 at 3pm.
A reception will be held at Golden Hill Cricket Ground, Wimbledon Road, BS6 7YB after the service.
For catering purposes, please contact Heidi directly to confirm your attendance for both the funeral and/or the reception, and if you have any allergy requirements.
Dress Code: Smart Casual but no black please.
Gifts and Donations: No flowers please. Instead, Howie has asked for donations for St Peter's Hospice. These can be made on the Just Giving link below.
To honour Howie's humble yet phenomenal sporting prowess including County Rugby, Cricket and Athletics, Ella ran the "Half for Howie" Great Bristol Half Marathon on 19th May 2024 to further raise for St Peter's Hospice. She then completed the St Peter's Hospice Cold Water Dip on 1st December 2024, suggsted and supported by her dear school friend, Anna Phippen-Gear who shared so many memories with the Cliffe family during the primary school days. Ella will be running again this May with the "Half for Howie" #2 Great Bristol Half Marathon on 11th May 2025.
