It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Holmes, known as Les, who left us peacefully at the age of 74 years on Tuesday 9th December 2025 at his home, surrounded by his family. Les will be remembered for his spirit, his devotion to those around him, and the many lives he touched with kindness.
Beloved husband, father, grandad and friend. Les's life was rich with love, laughter, and cherished memories that will remain in our hearts forever. His legacy lives on through the family and friends who hold him dearly.
The service will take place on Friday 9th January 2026 at 14:30 pm at St. John's Church, Maindee followed by committal at Langstone Vale Crematorium.
Afterwards, the family kindly invites the attendees to Maindee Conservative Club, 26-28 Fairoak Terrace, Newport NP19 8FG.
Family flowers only; donations in lieu can be made to St. David's Hospice and Dementia UK, an act of kindness in Les' memory.
