Jennifer passed away peacefully on 10th January 2026. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends .
We would like to thank everyone for their lovely letters and emails of condolence.
It has meant a lot to the family knowing Mummy was so loved by her friends.
A big thank you to Tricia Birchley for being so proactive and staying with Mummy.
We would also like to thank Rumsey’s Chocolaterie/Coffee Shop, the pharmacy in
Wendover, the ambulance crew, air ambulance, police and Wycombe Cardiac
Unit, who all went above and beyond.
It was a complete shock but exactly how Mummy would like to have gone
– with a bang and lots of people helping her.
She had some great mottos!
“Smile and the world smiles with you, cry and you cry alone.”
In other words, just get on with it!
“Never do something that you can
get someone else to do for you!”
Half of Mummy’s ashes will be sprinkled with her mother, Joan Allward, at
Amersham Crematorium, and the other half will be buried with Daddy at All
Saints’ Church, Little Kimble. Mummy will be alongside her father George, her
dear friends Libby and Andy Whitehorn, Cyril Taylor, Stuart and Sue Watson.
We are sure they’ll be drinking their G and Ts and enjoying the lovely view, and
Mummy will be smoking her Rothmans once again!
What a life, we will all miss you. xxxx
