It is with deep sadness to announce that Sue passed away on the 10th August. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends and all who knew her.
There will be a church service followed by cremation - all on Thursday 12 Sept 2024.
Memorial / Church Service will be at 1pm at St Peter’s and St Paul’s in Grays RM17 6LL (led by our local vicar Kate Carter). This is where most people will get their chance to say goodbye / celebrate / remember etc.
Due to numbers the cremation will then be held at South Essex Crematorium (Upminster) at 2.30pm for FAMILY ONLY and select friends who will be invited separately.
There is no formal wake planned on the day of the Service / Cremation.
Arangements for such will be made via a future celebration event to be held at Ellen Wilkinson Primary School on a date as yet to be confirmed with the school.
Everyone that knew Sue will know that she left instructions!
A few requisites/non-negotiables for the day are:
1) Bring smiles
2) Bright colours only - NO BLACK or PINK to be worn (Sue’s clear instructions - do not incur her wrath!)
3) Bring laughs
4) No flowers please - there will be a Just Giving page for St Luke’s Hospice (Basildon) and Friends of the Royal Marsden Hospital (you can find via the school website) or you can donate via the link attached to this notice
5) Bring along happy memories and love 'n' hugs for each other and fellow celebrants.
