Our beloved mum Mary 'Bernie' Sheehan, nee Griffin, aged 81, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on the 11th May 2026, at Angusfield Care Home Aberdeen.
Bernie was born to parents, Garda Sergeant Stephen Griffin and Annie, nee Walsh, at Rock Road Killarney Co. Kerry in 1945. She went on to live in Strood in Kent, Tureencahill in Co. Kerry and latterly in Southwark in London.
Pre-deceased by her husband Eamon and siblings Breda, Michael, Stephen (Lul) and Leo, she is survived by her brother Pat Griffin (New York) and sister Eileen Walsh (Listowel).
Bernie will be hugely missed by her sons Eamon and Tony, daughters-in-law Janice & Georgina, grandchildren Tom, Eva, Samuel & Joseph and nieces & nephews in Ireland and America.
Rest in Peace our beautiful mum, we are forever grateful for the life and education you provided for us.
Bernie's funeral will take place at 10am on the 5th June 2026 at St. Marys Cathedral Aberdeen, followed by cremation. Her ashes will be interred in the family grave in Killarney at a later date.
