Suddenly but peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Marie Porceddu (née Bamford) passed away following a short battle against cancer on 11th October 2025. A much loved mum to daughter Giovanna and twin sons Gianluca and Carlo and a best friend to former husband Ignazio. Cherished sister of Irene, Ann and Maureen and a treasured aunt and friend to many. Funeral service at Greenock Crematorium on 28th October at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gal Gael gardens, where Marie was a volunteer. A collection will be taken at the service. While traditional funeral attire is welcome, the family invites attendees to wear something colourful if they wish, in celebration of Marie’s vibrant spirit.
