John always said that the Salvation Army were the only ones that showed any interest when he was in the army. If you so wish please make a donation to the Salvation Army in his memory.
John enjoyed sports like walking, table tennis, golf and bowling and in his younger years was a regular visitor of the Isle of Man races. He also was a keen gardener but was sad that in his later years that became too much for him.
When he took up bowling the Mill Hill Bowling Club was there for him like the Salvation Army before. It allowed him to stay in the main stream of life rather then isolated and alone and in particular the social members that liked playing whist, can't thank them enough.
to celebrate his life we would like to see friends and family join in our garden at a later date to share memories and photos. May he rest in peace!
