It is with sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Lettice Tanner on Thursday 13th March, aged 99 years old, after a very short illness.
She was born in Caerleon, Monmouthshire. After studying mathematics at Bedford College, University of London, she went to work at the Road Research Laboratory. This is where she met John, her husband and our father. They were happily married for 55 years, sharing interests in gardening, bird watching and hill walking. Most of their married life was spent in Finchamstead, where they created a wonderful home and made many happy memories with the whole family. After John's death in 2016, she moved into sheltered housing at Westbury Fields, where she threw herself into community life. A series of falls over the last couple of years had reduced her mobility, so that she finally moved into the nursing home on the site last autumn. She settled in quickly, enjoying the activities and taking life at a slower pace. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Refreshments will be available after the funeral at the Cricketer's Resturant, Jessop Cresent, Westbury Fields, BS10 6TU
