Alfred Stephen Allan, age 65, passed away in Mountbatten Hospice in West End on on 13th of May 2024. Stephen, as he was known, was born in Newcastle and grew up in Swindon. He enjoyed art, sports (in particular cricket), chess and had a strong appreciation of music. In his late teens he was a keen traveller and ventured all across Europe where he met his wife, the love of his life, Sarah. After a great many adventures abroad, the pair returned to the UK to reside in Southampton where they built a life and a family together -- and had two sons, Billy and Thomas. 

Stephen was blessed with two beautiful granddaughters, and was known as the naughty 'gran-grad'. He was also very close to his nieces and nephews from Swindon and relished being a part of their lives. Stephen was a very social person and thrived within company, even if only to exasperate those around him with his incessant chatter. We hope you can join us on Friday June 14th at 2pm to commemorate his colourful and buoyant character, and the memories which we shared with him.
