Retired Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, pioneer of laparoscopic surgery. Born 27th March 1931, Calcutta, India. Died 13th November 2025, Clitheroe, Lancashire. Beloved husband of Rosalind Mary (née Armitstead). Father of Christopher, Susan, Nicholas and Thomas. Dearly loved and remembered by family, friends and former colleagues.
A Service of Thanksgiving will be held on the 13th February 2026 at St. Mary and All Saints Church, Whalley, Lancashire, BB7 9SY, afterwards at Whalley Abbey. If you wish to attend, please confirm via email: manson.sot@gmail.com.
