Dear and much loved Lucy very sadly died peacefully surrounded by her family in the early hours of the 14 of August, she was aged 52 years.
Lucy had an upbringing in Bexley Heath, with her parents Judith and John and Sister Mary, where she went to school and met some amazing friends, university followed where she went on to sucessfully gain an honours degree in French and enjoyed a wonderful year living in France, again meeting more lifelong friends along the way. She started a flying career as cabin crew where she met her husband, Clive. They moved to Hythe in 2003 after they had their first child, Samuel, going on then to have their second, Isabel. Lucy retrained as a primary school teacher and has enjoyed many years in the Hythe and Saltwood community working at Saltwood CofE Primary School.
She was such a rock and superstar, a supporter to so many people, always caring for others. She has touched so many lives, both as a primary school teacher and a friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all.
Everyone is welcome to join us at Saltwood Church for the funeral, and then afterwards at the Saltwood Lads club.
Please note that parking will be very limited at Saltwood Church and we are expecting significant numbers to attend. It may be advisable to find parking in nearby side roads and then walk up to the church.
Please note there is a book of condolence in Saltwood Church and you are welcome to drop in at any time to pay respects. Donations are also welcome in memory of Lucy to support the work of Breast Cancer UK and can be made via this page.
