Joan sadly passed away on Sunday 14th September, peacefully in her sleep. It is with confidence and joy that we can say that she has now gone to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and to be reunited with her husband, Vic, who departed this life in December 2023 and her son, Robin, who left us in January 2015.
Joan had a quiet yet unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ.
Her love and care was evident to all who knew her. Her quick wit brought a smile to many a conversation. With her intelligence, Joan complemented Vic who was much more practically-minded and her skills were expressed in her cookery, knitting, cross-stitch, crochet, typing and occasionally writing poetry. She loved gardening and crossword puzzles and dedicated her time to caring for her family, fundraising for The Children's Society and circulating newsletters for DeoLink. She truly was the kindest, most thoughtful and most helpful mother, grandmother and friend anyone could wish for.
