‘Elsie will be missed’ seems like a profound understatement.
Anyone who knew Mam (Elsie) could not fail to have been inspired by her caring actions and loving support. Many have been touched and blessed by her early morning phone calls to sing happy birthday, and the innumerable crocheted and knitted items into which she wove her prayers for the recipient.
As a wife she lovingly supported Dad (Peter) in his ministry within the Methodist Church. As a mother, to only occasionally rebel children, she was always there to support and offer wisdom, but it was never forced. As Grandma and Great Grandma Elsie, she was generous to a fault, always appreciative of visits and loved sharing anecdotes about the family.
In short, she wasn’t perfect, her faith was simple yet strong, she loved and cared for all God’s children, worrying with them, laughing with them, crying with them, praying for them.
Elsie will be missed…
