It is with sadness that the family of Christopher Paul Harper announce his passing on the 15th of April 2026, aged 76 years, following a short and unexpected illness, but many years of ill-health.
Christopher (or Chris, to his friends and family) was a loving husband to Frances, father to Neil and Graham, brother to Sue and Terri, and grandfather to Olivia, Isaac and Finn.
An engineer and a dreamer, flight captured his imagination from a young age, shaped his career, and never lost its wonder.
Sadly, multiple sclerosis narrowed his world. While the cure he longed for remains out of reach, any donations you might wish to make to the MS Trust could hasten that day for others. Their support for those affected by MS in the meantime is invaluable.
Chris attended the Newport Cottage Care Centre for over a decade, and the family are incredibly grateful for all the wonderful care, support and friendship that he received during that time. Should anyone wish to make a donation to the centre in his memory, a donation envelope will be provided on the day of the service.
