It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys Phelps, also known as Sandy, who left us at the age of 81 years on Wednesday 15th July 2026. Sandy will be remembered for her spirit, her devotion to those around her, and the many lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.
Sandy's life was rich with love, laughter, and cherished memories that will remain in our hearts forever.
Wife to late John Phelps, mother to Sally, David and Paul, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her legacy lives on through her loved ones and friends.
The service will take place on Monday 10th August 2026 at 10:30 am at the Langstone Vale Crematorium. The family invites attendees for light refreshments after the service at the Tickled Trout Newport, 13 Market St, Newport NP20 1FU .
The attendees are encouraged to wear a colourful attire to celebrate Sandy's life.
Family flowers only. Donations in lieu can be made to Alzheimer's Research UK, an act of kindness in Sandy's memory.
