Barbara died peacefully at home, as she wished, and thankfully both Sue & Jane were with her. Michael had also had the chance over recent weeks to spend a lot of time with mum. All the family including the grandchildren, Zoe, Louis, Alex, Grace and Jay, as well as Jane’s dog, Milo, had recently visited and spent time with her.
She had been unwell for a while, a short stay in hospital in April, led to a diagnosis of both heart failure and a brain tumour, as well as other old age frailties. She fought through Christmas, but deteriorated over the last couple of weeks, so in the end our loss is cushioned by relief for Mum to be released from her pain.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
