It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Hyland share news of her passing. Mary was born in Co Sligo, Ireland growing up in a small place called Curry. Mary was the oldest of 9, with 4 brothers and 4 sisters to whom she was very close. She was Mum to John and Michelle and Nana to Sadie, Enya, Michael, Indie, Cleo and Cici. A void has opened that will never be filled and the family are grief stricken. Mary had a varied career working as a teacher, then later for the council and lastly for a security company as an administrator. Being so organised she excelled in these roles and made telling contributions to where she worked. Mary was popular amongst her colleagues even if she had such a no-nonsense approach to things. Mary was married to Michael McGrath in 1976 to whom she had John and Michelle. After being widowed Mary met Mark and they had a wonderful few years together. They enjoyed traveling, days out and the odd BBQ. After Mark died Mary devoted much of her time to either work or her grandchildren. Mary was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and always enjoyed hearing about their achievements at school or any adventures they had with their friends or family.
