It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen (Mo) Thorn, who left us peacefully at the age of 76 years on Wednesday 18th February 2026 at Royal Gwent Hospital. Maureen will be remembered for her spirit, her devotion to those around her, and the many lives she touched with kindness.
Beloved wife to late Peter William Thorn, mother to Anna and Granny to Isabelle and Peter. Maureen's life was rich with love, adventure and laughter, which she shared with all who knew her.
Her legacy lives on through her family and friends who will continue to hold her dearly and will cherish the memories in their hearts forever.
The service will take place on Friday 20th March 2026 at 11:00 am at Gwent Crematorium.
Family flowers only; the donations in lieu can be made to Cancer Research UK, an act of kindness in Maureen's memory.
