Mrs Carol Hesketh,

It is with Heart Breaking Sadness that the Family of Mrs Carol Hesketh announces her passing after a Heroic Battle with Alzheimers Dementia on 18th May 2025 at the age of 79.

Carol passed away peacefully at Blackburn Hospital with her daughter Tanya by her side and Surrounded by her Loving Family, John, John Senior, Syliva & Debbie.

Carol will be Lovingly remembered by her daughters Tanya, Michelle & Lara, along with her 9 Grandchildren Jaytee, Theo, Jude, Tristan, Charlie, Toby, Kayleigh & Nicola, Claire.

Carol proudly served in the Women's Royal Naval services (WRNS) working as a Weapons Analyst in the Fleet Air Arm. Her service & training included posting on board HMS Dauntless, HMS Excellent & HMS Fulmar.

When she finally traded in her days on the High Seas for Family life,
Carol raised 3 daughters whilst working at Midland Bank as a Bank Teller & an Accountant.
Carol also gave all her free time to volunteering to Help those in her Local Community deadicating not only her time but her various skills.

When Carol was free to relax, She would like nothing better than reading the Daily Newspaper enjoying the Crosswords, She Loved to Knit, spending hours creating her masterpieces, and if she wasn't clicking away with those knitting needles, she would be outside digging in the garden.

Her Pride n Joy was the Green House with her home grown Tomatoes, Green Peas,
( Brings back fond childhood memories for me of sitting on the back step with my sister cracking open pea pods tring to get the peas into the bowl ready for tea) .
Carol also grew Gooseberries, Strawberries, Rhubard & Apples which she would lovingly make into Jams and give out to Family, Friends & Neighbours.

But The Most Generious Gift that Carol gave was of Life
Donating 100 Blood Donations to The NHS with The British Heart Foundation. To Honour this most Generous & Selfless Gift we would like with your help to continue in Carol's memory by making a donation to The British Heart Foundation.
