It is with such sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur, a loving husband to Mavis and the best Dad and Grandad we could have asked for. He died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday 19th March 2025.
Dad told us that he wanted us to ‘celebrate his faith and the hope of eternal life with God’ so we hope that his funeral is a day of happy memories of a Dad whose lifelong faith and devotion to his family defined who he was.
We each have precious, personal memories of the things he said, the times we spent with him and the gentle, quiet way that he did everything. We will forever cherish these memories and the time we had with our wonderful, deeply kind and dearly loved Dad.
On Wednesday 16th April, you are invited to attend the funeral service at St Andrews Lutheran Church, Whitby Road, Ruislip HA4 9DY at 11:30am, followed by the committal at Northwood Cemetery at 1:00pm for those who wish.
Following the committal you are invited to join the family at The Grange, Rickmansworth Road, Northwood, HA6 2RB. Please can you RSVP if you intend to come. Dietary requirements can be accommodated, please just let us know in advance (by Tuesday 8th April).
Donations, if desired, in memory of Arthur may be given to the Harefield Hospital Charity.
