Alexander Walsh, known to all as Alan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, sadly passed away on 20th July 2025, at the age of 72.

Born on 1st October 1952, Alan grew up to be an extremely stubborn man with a great sense of humour. He spent a large portion of his life at sea as a Merchant Seaman and later had various jobs working in security due to his height and build.

He shared 50 years with his wife Susie and raised two daughters Anna and Alexa. His hobbies included reading, watching films and playing computer games.

Alan is survived by his wife, children, granchildren and sister Pearl. Please see below for the Funeral Service details. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Alan's memory be made via this notice to the RNLI.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
