It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Thomas Samworth.
Joe was a true family man, with a passion for love, light and landscapes.
As a Town Planner and Landscape Architect he was passionate about our world and our built and rural environments.
He leaves behind his lovely wife, Shirley - to whom he was devoted for almost 70 years - and a son (Martin) and daughter (Claire), all of whom will sorely miss his company and wonderful sense of humour.
He also leaves behind six wonderful grandchildren and a great grandson.
Joe's funeral and celebration of life will be at St Peter's Church Barford, where the burial will follow.
A toast to him will be held at Swallows Nest Barn, Sherbourne Farm, Sherbourne, Warwick, CV35 8QU from 12.15pm that day.
No flowers are requested, but Joe has asked for either a donation for young trees to be planted, or that attendees plant a tree or shrub in his memory in their garden, or a location of their choice.
Joe Samworth will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
